“PRETTY IN PINK”
"PRETTY IN PINK"
Is there a sight more beautiful than when all the colors of Spring come together to cast a magnificent glow everywhere we look? I often describe those first few weeks as 'eye candy'. While green is the predominant color for a time, we look forward to what's coming next; the various shades of yellow, purple, red…and pink!
Every year, this row of trees contributes to that glow by putting on a show of its own. There is no shortage of gorgeous flowers in every size and shape. Their short blooming season reminds me to seize my camera, seize the moment, and to capture them from every angle possible. I love that the owners of these trees allow them to be —never, ever clipping their 'wings'. As a result, each year's plethora of blooms is more abundant than the one before.
As I write this, these trees are just beginning to push out their new buds. In a few weeks—and every year thereafter— I'll be excited to capture their latest blossoms, their curved branches, their lime-green colored leaves, and the detailed, beautiful ancient bark that protects them. They're a reminder that as they bloom and grow and change—so do we all.
